The 2022 Macau International Environmental Cooperation Forum & Exhibition (2022 MIECF) was held at The Venetian Macao Cotai Expo on 9-11 December. Inaugurated in 2008 and accredited by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) in 2011, the event encompasses a series of professional international forums, exhibitions, business matching and networking activities to promote international co-operation among governments, industries, universities, research institutes, users and investors in the environmental protection area. MIECF aims to grow into an international exchange and co-operation platform that promotes technology transfer and sustainable development for the environmental protection sector in the “Belt and Road” countries and regions, the Pan-Pearl River Delta Region (PPRD), the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Portuguese-speaking countries, European countries and the rest of the world.
At the event, Guardforce Macau showcased the latest smart green solutions, including Smart Bin, Smart Food Waste Bin, Auto-Sorting Recycling Bin and VirusGuard disinfection robot. Event visitors could personally experience on site how to use technology to manage waste and recycling to support green living. VirusGuard demonstrated on site how it uses highly effective human-safe disinfectant aerosol to disinfect on schedule or on demand to keep venues and facilities sanitized, supporting quick returning to normalcy in the community.

Guardforce Macau's managing director Susanna Vong was interviewed by Macau Daily at the Exhibition to talk about the company's latest smart green solutions, and how technology could help Macau embark on the road to a low-carbon city.
